Hüschs Landkost awarded with the State Prize for Gourmet Crafts
Hüschs Landkost – Westerwald butcher shop, the Hüsch family from Rosenheim, has been awarded the “Rhineland-Palatinate 2023 State Prize for Gourmet Crafts” by Minister of Economic Affairs Daniela Schmitt.
Every day, the food industry in Rhineland-Palatinate supplies thousands of people with delicious bread and rolls, cakes and ice cream, tasty sausages, and tasty beer. These are foods to savor, produced with artisanal care and regional ingredients, offering people a unique taste experience.
As a sign of special appreciation for these outstanding food artisans, the state of Rhineland-Palatinate is awarding the “State Honorary Prize in Gourmet Crafts – For the Best in Rhineland-Palatinate” for the first time this year in

• Butchery
• Brewing craft
The "State Honorary Award for Gourmet Crafts 2023" is awarded by the state of Rhineland-Palatinate to outstanding food craft businesses that are regionally rooted, pursue sustainable concepts, and meet social requirements such as training and social commitment. The award explicitly honors artisanal production and the values of a craft business.
The food industry plays a vital role in everyone's life, both economically and culturally. As an employer, it strengthens the country's regions. It trains young people and offers them career prospects. It preserves and promotes knowledge of the artisanal production methods of regional products.
